International Trauma & Relief Training
Michael McNulty has extensive experience providing training to counselors in the international community, primarily in Sri Lanka. He first traveled to Sri Lanka to assist after the 2004 tsunami and has returned 17 times to date. He has created a series of courses called Portable Accessible Counselor Training (PACT.) This program is comprised of the very basic, core courses in a para-professional mental health curriculum, and easily translated into other languages. He also has made presentations on The Gottman Method of Relationship Therapy, and John Gottman's Emotion Coaching technique.
Dr. McNulty has received two Fulbright Senior Specialist grants for his work in Sri Lanka. He has made presentations on teaching The Gottman Method there at two Annual Gottman Conferences, and an event in the Chicago area with John and Julie Gottman as commentators.
